Took me 22 years to reach where I am today: Rupali Ganguly
Mumbai (IANS) | Rupali Ganguly, who plays the lead role in the popular show ‘Anupamaa’, says the show has given her a lot of respect and fame. With this show, she has become the most loving daughter-in-law, wife and mother on screen. Talking about the success he got after being a part of the show, he said, “It took me 22 years to reach where I am today. Being a part of multiple shows of different genres, my journey has been full of ups and downs. People often call me Anupama instead of my real name, which makes me proud.
Rupali, who started her acting career at the age of 7 in her father Anil Ganguly’s film ‘Saheb’ in 1885, made her mark in the television industry by playing the role of Monisha in the 2004 sitcom ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’. Later, she acted in shows like ‘Baa Bahu Aur Baby’, ‘Parvarrish – Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi’, ‘Sanjeevani’ and many more.
Now, Anupama’s character has made her a popular face on TV and she is thankful to the makers for giving her this opportunity.
She said, I want to express my gratitude to Rajan Shahi for believing in me. I feel inspired to live each new day with optimism and enthusiasm because of the love and support showered on me by the audience.
