Odisha. A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in the capital Bhubaneswar. Here a woman threw her husband out of the house and started living with her male friend. When the children protested against their relationship, the woman did cruelty to both the innocent children. At the behest of the woman, her male friend burnt the children with hot tongs. The police have arrested the mother and her male friend and admitted the children to the hospital.
According to the information, this entire case is from the slum of Chandrashekharpur area of Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Pinak Mishra said that the police have rescued a boy and a girl, who were burnt with hot tongs. This incident happened when the mother’s male friend burnt the children with hot tongs at her behest.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Gudu Nayak, who is the lover of the children’s mother. Both the children were kept in a closed room. After receiving a tip-off, Maitri Vihar police reached the spot and rescued the children. The police conducted a raid and arrested Gudu Nayak.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. According to the report, Gudu Nayak and the woman were in a love affair for about seven months, but the children were opposing it. People were outraged over this incident. Child rights activists have demanded strict action against the accused.
