To avoid diseases, follow health rules instead of superstitions

Dr. Dinesh Mishra, President of Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti, an organization working for the eradication of superstitions, hypocrisy and social evils, said that Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti will run a special public awareness campaign on Hareli, in which awareness will be created against Tonhhi harassment in relation to witchcraft, oath will be taken against Tonhhi harassment, night visits to deserted places of the village, pamphlets will be distributed on superstition, posters will be distributed to increase information and awareness about Tonhhi harassment and these posters will be pasted at village panchayats and public places. Dr. Dinesh Mishra, President of Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti said that on the night of Hareli Amavasya, a symbol of greenery, the committee will visit and contact the villagers to remove the fear of Tonhhi, ghosts and spirits from the minds of the villagers.Dr. Dinesh Mishra said that there are many different beliefs about Hariyali Amavasya (Hareli) in the region. At many places, it is also associated with black magic. At some places, it is also believed that magical powers are attained by special sadhana on this day and night. However, in reality, all these are just speculations. Black magic does not exist and no woman is a witch. Earlier, when there was no information about diseases and natural disasters, it was believed that diseases of humans and animals are caused by black magic. People fall ill due to evil eye and to protect them, the village and house should be tied with tantra-mantra. In such a situation, many times, women are accused of black magic. In fact, due to rain in the month of Sawan, the temperature of the atmosphere remains irregular. Due to humidity, disease-causing factors like bacteria and germs increase significantly after getting a favorable environment. Diseases increase suddenly due to dirt, polluted drinking water, contamination of food items, increase in flies and mosquitoes. Due to this, patients of dysentery, jaundice, viral fever, malaria increase in villages and if timely attention is not given, then the whole settlement becomes a victim of seasonal infectious diseases. Same is the situation of crops and animals, to prevent these seasonal diseases, it is necessary to pay attention to basic things like clean drinking water, not contaminated food items, no dirt, no increase in flies and mosquitoes. By taking health related precautions, people can avoid animal diseases. For this, there is no need to bind the house, village with any kind of tantra-mantra. To prevent corona and other infections, cleanliness, caution, wearing mask, keeping social distance, washing hands frequently is more important, after this, if a person is infected with these diseases, then take him to the doctor immediately, even in case of snake bite or poisonous insect bite, go to the doctor. Dr. Mishra said that it has been observed for the last few years that on Hareli Amavasya, even during the day, children and many people are seen roaming around with neem twigs, bicycles, rickshaws and cars to avoid black magic and evil eye. Parents and teachers should advise children to avoid such superstitions. Instead of damaging the tree by breaking neem twigs, plant neem trees around the house so that the environment is clean. To avoid diseases, if people pay attention to things like cleanliness, drinking filtered and boiled water, not using polluted food and not allowing dirt to accumulate and remain alert towards health, then there will be no need to bind with tantra-mantra. Diseases will not come near on their own, flies and mosquitoes are more dangerous than any so-called tantra-mantra.
