Tiger seen in Balaghat forests, panic among villagers
Balaghat. The villagers of Gram Panchayat Panbihari of Lalbarra area are in panic due to the knock of the violent wild animal tiger. It was told that last day the tiger had made a pet cattle its prey in Ward 7 and 8 in front of the boys hostel. The tiger population remains close to the village. In such a situation, the villagers are in complete panic. Who have stopped going out of the house alone. Villagers have also expressed concern about their pet cattle. Who have demanded the forest department to capture the tiger and release it elsewhere.
According to the information received, Raju Bisen, resident of Ward 7 of Panbihari, had left his pet cattle cow to graze in a nearby field on the morning of 12 January. The cattle did not return home till late evening. After searching around, no cattle were seen. On January 13, some people saw a tiger and also heard the roar of a tiger. Suspecting hunting, Raju went around the fields and found a dead cattle about 200 meters away from his house. Tiger’s claw marks were seen in and around the body of the cattle. The information was immediately given to the Forest Department. After this the forest staff came into action. It was told that after the death of the cattle, the villagers are also forming groups and searching for the tiger.
The Forest Department has also started searching. Last day at around 05 pm the villagers heard the roar of a tiger. The information was given to the forest staff. The forest staff made efforts to identify the tiger by torchlight. During this time he saw a tiger. The villagers also tried to capture this scene on their mobiles. However, due to darkness, the Forest Department advised the villagers to return safely and sent them back. After the presence of the tiger, there is an atmosphere of panic in the nearby villages including Panbihari. Who say that the presence of a tiger nearby can prove fatal for the villagers and their domesticated cattle. For this reason, the tiger should be caught and released into the forest as soon as possible. The villagers have demanded the forest department to immediately catch the tiger by placing a cage in it.
