Three young men from Barnala died in a collision between a motorcycle and a tractor-trolley on the Raikot-Mullanpur highway.

Punjab: Three young men from Gehalan village in Barnala district died late Saturday evening after their motorcycle collided with a tractor-trolley at Boprai Kalan on the Raikot-Mullanpur highway. One of the victims, Parwinder Singh, succumbed to his injuries at the accident site in a nearby field, while the other two – identified as Amritpal Singh and Akashdeep Singh – died Sunday morning while undergoing treatment at a multispecialty hospital in Ludhiana.
Although the police have not yet determined the exact cause of the accident, preliminary investigations suggest that poor road conditions, low visibility, and speeding were contributing factors. Gurdeep Singh, the SHO of Sudhar police station, said that a case has been registered against the tractor driver, Satnam Singh of Khadur village, under Sections 304A, 279, and 427 of the IPC. The victims were identified based on a UID found in Parwinder Singh’s pocket. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Civil Hospital Ludhiana for post-mortem examination.
