Three school children including HSLC candidate ‘kidnapped’ from hostel
GUWAHATI: In a shocking development, three students have reportedly been ‘abducted’ by unidentified individuals in Bongaigaon district of Assam.
The alleged abduction took place at a boys’ hostel affiliated with the Sonaikula Shankar Azan Jatiya Vidyalaya in Bongaigaon district of Assam.
Sources indicate that the students disappeared from the hostel premises late on Friday (February 23) night.
One of the missing schoolboys was reportedly appearing in the ongoing High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examinations 2024 in Assam.
The other two ‘abducted’ boys were reportedly students in Class 8.
Family members suspect foul play and have raised allegations of kidnapping against unidentified perpetrators.
Authorities at the school have filed a complaint at the Manikpur police station in Bongaigaon district of Assam, prompting an investigation into the matter.
However, as of now, no suspects have been apprehended by the police.
