Three people including a sub-inspector suspended for visiting Tiger Reserve during duty

Bareilly: Having fun on duty proved very costly for three policemen including a sub-inspector. Sub-inspector Vinay Kumar and head constables Shahid Ali and Rishipal Singh posted at Subhash Nagar police station not only left their duty and went to visit Pilibhit Tiger Reserve border, but also misbehaved with the employees when they were stopped from forcibly entering there. SSP Anurag Arya has suspended all three and ordered a departmental inquiry.

All three had gone in connection with the investigation of the girl’s kidnapping

Sub-inspector Vinay Kumar and both head constables had gone to Hafizganj on 24 June after registering their departure from Subhash Nagar police station in connection with the investigation of the girl’s kidnapping. But instead of Hafizganj, all three went to visit Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. The Tiger Reserve has been closed, so the security personnel there stopped them from entering.

The officials of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve complained about this to the Bareilly police officials. When the SSP got the matter investigated, all three were found guilty. After this, the SSP suspended the inspector and both the head constables.
