Three Naxalites surrendered
Sukma. Three Naxalites, including two women, have surrendered in the district. Police gave this information on Sunday. Police said that a reward of Rs 1 lakh was declared on one of these female Naxalite.
These Naxalites said they were disappointed with the “inhuman and hollow” Naxalite ideology and surrendered before the police and officials of the 50th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) here on Saturday evening, a senior police officer said. .
He said that those who surrendered have been identified as Dudhi Sukdi (53), Dudhi Deve (38) and Madvi Hadma (26). The officer said that a reward of Rs 1 lakh was declared on Deve, who was active as the head of Tumalpad Krantikari Mahila Adivasi Sangathan (a major unit of Naxalites). According to the officer, the three Naxalites told the police that they were “influenced” by the district police’s Naxal rehabilitation campaign ‘Puna Narkom’.
