Three girls died due to drowning in a pond in Jharkhand’s Gumla

Ranchi (IANS) | A painful accident has happened in Asni Navatoli of Gumla city of Jharkhand. Three girls died due to drowning in the Kumbatoli Tadbandh pond here on Tuesday. On getting information about the incident, the relatives reached the spot and took all three out of the pond. Gumla police station reached the spot and hurriedly took all three to the Sadar Hospital, where the doctors declared them brought dead.

The names of the deceased are Anima Kumari, Saroj Kumari and Monika Kumari. The age of all these is being told between 9 and 12 years. According to relatives, all three had gone to school. On going to school, I came to know that today is Mahavir Jayanti holiday. All three returned from school and went out together to bathe in the pond. During this, all three went into deep water. A woman who went to wash clothes on the banks of the river raised an alarm after seeing all three drowning. A large number of people gathered on the spot. Due to the simultaneous death of three innocent people, there has been chaos among their family members.
