Three arrested with illegal weapons in Sonitpur district

Tezpur: Acting on a tip-off, Sonitpur police in a joint operation with CRPF and led by additional SP (crime) Moushumi Kalita arrested three persons from Muslim Chapri area under Thelamara police station and recovered two live cartridges. Also recovered a pistol. ,

“After receiving a tip-off, we have arrested three persons and seized a pistol and two rounds of live bullets from their possession. The arrested persons have been identified as Saidul Islam (35), Anarul Hussain (32) and Hibjur Rahman (24), residents of Muslim Chapari village on the south bank of the Brahmaputra under Thelamara PS in Sonitpur district. Additional SP (Crime) Moushumi Kalita said, Sonitpur. A case was registered under relevant sections and investigation was initiated.
