Thoubal: Unknown miscreants shot a man in the leg

Mizoram: Unknown miscreants shot a man in his legs at Pechi Chinglak Khongnang Makhong under Yairipok police station in Thoubal district at 4 pm on Sunday. According to sources, the injured man has been identified as Romi’s 24-year-old son of Heingang Mayai Leikai in Imphal East.

He was rushed to CHC Yairipok and later referred to Imphal for treatment. Latest reports say he is undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital. The motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. A case has been registered at the Yairipok police station. Meanwhile, no individual or organisation has claimed responsibility for the incident till the time of writing this report.
