Those doing drain construction work beat up father and son, case registered

Mahasamund. In Mahasamund, two people doing drain construction work on Tumgaon Road in front of Sharda Temple beat a father and son with a spade and a shovel, due to which the son suffered serious injuries. The father lodged a complaint with the police. Mohammad Smile told the police that on May 25, 2024, at around 3 pm, he was going from Bemcha to his home in a van with his friend Pappu, when a person working in the ongoing drain construction near Sharda Temple passed in front of the van. Crossed on foot.

On being asked why are you suddenly stopping the van and crossing in front of the vehicle, the said person said who are you to refuse, abused his mother and sister and hit Mohammad on the back of his head with a shovel kept nearby. Has delivered. Seeing the fighting going on, Mohammad Smile’s son came to his rescue and he was also beaten with a spade and shovel by two persons working for contractor Nehru Netam. Mohammed Smile’s son got serious injuries due to the beating. Seeing the boy being beaten, when Mohammed Smile intervened, one of the two persons injured Mohammed Smile by hitting him on his forehead with a shovel and threatening to kill him. Ran away from there. On the complaint of the case, the police have registered crime under sections 294-IPC, 323-IPC, 34-IPC, 506-IPC against two persons working for contractor Nehru Netam and are investigating.
