In many areas of the district, villagers are forced to buy water for irrigation and bring it by tanker. There is water problem every year. People have to water gardens and fields during the day and night. Despite this, it is difficult to fulfill the water shortage. In such a situation, the initiative of the youth of Hong Kong can prove fruitful in meeting the water shortage through artificial glacier. The youth of Hong Kong have adopted this method after seeing the artificial glacier built by Indian civil engineer Chewang Norfel of Ladakh.
