Thieves stole goods worth 5 lakh by taking hostage

Jamui. About 5 lakh was stolen on Thursday night in the house of Ashok Singh, a resident of Kumar village under Sikandra police station in the district. It is being told that the thieves looted the house of Ashok Singh by taking his wife and daughter hostage.

During this, fearless thieves created havoc in the house for 30 minutes. Thieves who came in the number of four to six locked the people present in the house in a room and looted the property worth about 5 lakhs. According to the householder, the thieves made away with about 50 grams of gold, 250 grams of silver, a box and 25,000 cash. After the same theft, some similar people recovered from the village near North Canal.

It is being told that the thieves ran away with the loot on the same way. The victim’s family was preparing for their daughter’s marriage.
