Thieves steal jewelery and cash from woman police officer’s house

Durg. The terror of thieves has increased so much in Durg district that even the houses of police officers are not safe. Thieves have stolen lakhs from the house of ASI Preeti Jaiswal, who is posted in Police Department, Raipur. Police have received a CCTV footage, in which some suspects are seen entering the ASI’s house. Mohan Nagar police is probing the matter.

According to information received from Mohan Nagar police, Preeti Jaiswal was earlier posted in CID. Presently he is working on the post of ASI in Police Department in Raipur. His house is in Surya Nagar Sikola Bhatha Fort. She does Raipur up and down daily from here. Preeti Jaiswal told the police that she had gone to Raipur for duty on June 7. When she returned from duty at 8 pm, she saw that the front door of her house was open. The lock of the main gate was broken. When I went inside, I saw that the whole thing was scattered. When Preeti checked the household items, the gold and silver jewelery and cash kept in the cupboard were missing. Mohan Nagar police is seen in the CCTV footage of a burglar going inside the house. The police is engaged in identifying him.
