These poor women are crorepatis and lakhpatis in bank records, a shocking case from Raipur

Raipur. In Raipur, a transaction of 15 crores was done in a bank account opened on the pretext of giving employment to poor women. This amount is related to online betting. The passbooks and ATMs of the women’s bank accounts were kept with them. Purani Basti police station has registered a case against the accused social worker Shobha Thakur and started investigation.

The victim women had reached Purani Basti police station and lodged a complaint in the name of Shobha Thakur, the director of an organization named Nari Shakti Party. The accused Shobha, who runs the organization in the name of giving employment, took Rs 100 each from the victims in the name of registration and also gave a receipt for it. Apart from this, the women were made to open an account in Karnataka Bank by telling them that they would get the money from government schemes. SIM cards were also taken in their names. After this, the accused kept the ATM, passbook and SIM cards herself. The accounts were used for illegal work. When the police did a preliminary investigation, it was found that the organization is not registered anywhere.
