There was a blast in an illegal firecracker factory in Agra

Kolkata: A tragedy took place in Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal on Tuesday. An explosion took place in an illegal fireworks factory in Egra. 9 people lost their lives due to this explosion. Many were seriously injured. On receiving the information, the fire brigade and the police reached the spot and started rescue operations. The dead bodies were recovered and the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals. Officials said that the death toll is likely to increase.

Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has expressed deep shock over this accident. The families of the deceased will be given Rs. An exgratia of 2.5 lakhs has been announced. He ordered to provide better treatment to the injured. The CM said that the owner of this illegal fireworks factory was arrested recently, but he was out on bail
