Theft took place in 5 shops at some distance from the police station, anger among traders against TI
Kurud. Last night, thieves broke the locks of 5 shops in Palika Bazar of Nagar Panchayat Bhakhara and fled away after stealing cash and goods from two shops. Police is trying to identify four youths on the basis of CCTV footage. On Thursday night, thieves broke the locks of 5 shops in Palika Bazar of Bhakhara. The cash and some goods kept in bags from Devangan Fancy Store and Poonam Electronic Shop were confiscated. The thieves tried unsuccessfully to enter inside by breaking the locks of three other nearby shops.
The actions of the thieves have been captured in the CCTV camera. On receiving information about the incident on Friday morning, the victimized shopkeepers blamed the negligence of Bhakhara police and raised questions on night patrolling. Regarding this, TI Sharad Tamarkar said that in view of the shortage of police force, we had already advised the businessmen of Palika Bazaar to hire their own watchman. Presently Madai Mela is being organized in the villages, where additional police force is required. Some goods and cash have been stolen from two shops, we will catch the thieves soon.
