Theft of lakhs from businessman’s house, police registered a case

Mahasamund. About Rs 22 lakh, including jewelery and cash, was stolen from a businessman’s house in Saraipali of Mahasamund district on Tuesday night. Unable to break the lock of the cupboard, the thieves took it away. Whose lock was found broken in a field 200 meters away from his house. The entire family was sleeping at the time of the incident. Actually, businessman Rajendra Ruganta (50), resident of Mahalpara Ward No. 3 of Saraipali, went to sleep with the entire family at 12.30 after having dinner at night. Late at night the thieves broke the lock of the main door and entered inside. There they broke the lock of a cupboard and stole jewelery worth Rs 21 lakh kept in it. However, if the lock of the other cupboard was not broken, the thieves took away that cupboard only. When Rajendra Rungta’s wife Shivani Rungta got up at 4 o’clock to go to the bathroom, she saw that the door of the cupboard kept in the room near the bathroom was broken.

The stuff in the room is scattered. She immediately informed her husband about this. He saw that the lock of the main door of the house was also broken. The cupboard was also missing from the room. In the morning the cupboard was found at a distance of about 200 meters from the house. From a cupboard, gold necklace 6 nos. 5 tola, gold bangle 4 nos. 7 tola, gold chain 2 nos. 5 tola, gold neck setkana 4 tola, gold paddle 2 nos. 2 tola, gold ring 12 nos. 4 tola, gold earrings 8 pieces 5 tola old used total weight 32 tola included. There are 6 pieces of silver glass, 4 pieces of silver bowl, 10 pieces of silver anklet, 30-35 pieces of silver coin, about 02 kg of old used silver and Rs 4 lakh in cash, 2 pieces of gold earrings from the second cupboard. Half tola, one kg silver anklets and anklets 1 kg, 4 pieces of silver puja glass 10 tola, 8 thousand rupees in cash, total 21 lakh 88 thousand jewelery and cash were lost.
