Theft in electric warehouse in Raipur, thief arrested with cable bundle
Raipur. Theft in electric warehouse has been revealed. Shobhit Israni lodged a report in New Rajendra Nagar police station that he lives with his family in Telibandha Raipur near Anand Vihar Marine Drive and he has an electric shop and godown in the name of Shri Electrics in front of Amlidih Road Vaishali Residency. The applicant keeps electric goods in his shop and godown. On 07.10.2024 at around 10.00 pm, he locked the shop and godown and went home. On 08.10.2024 at around 10.00 am, when he came to his shop and went to the godown, the lock of the godown shutter was broken, on going inside the godown, the goods kept in the godown were scattered and on matching the goods, RR. Cables of different sizes, copper wire of Polycab Company, flood light of Shri Company, street light, switch of Vinay Company and other electronic items and the cupboard kept in the office inside the godown was also broken in which the cash kept in it was missing. Some unknown thief broke the lock of the shutter of my godown and entered inside and stole the electric items, bags and cash kept in the godown. On which a crime number 394/24 section 305, 331(4) B.N.S. has been registered against the unknown accused in Police Station New Rajendra Nagar.
Similarly, on 13.10.2024, from the godown of the applicant Shobhit Israni located at Amlidih, a total of 16 cartons of electronic cables/wires of different mm were stolen by an unknown accused and he absconded. On which, crime number 398/24 under section 305, 331(4) BNS has been registered against the unknown accused in New Rajendra Nagar Police Station. Under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and New Rajendra Nagar Police Station started investigating the unknown accused by making detailed inquiries from the applicant and the people around him regarding the incidents. Along with inspecting the crime scene, the team members also observed the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the crime scene and its surroundings and also deployed informers in the case to trace the unknown accused. During the CCTV footage, the team members saw 02 persons riding a two-wheeler near the crime scene. On which, the team members were also trying to identify the accused by obtaining information about the two-wheeler used in the incident. During this time, the team members received important information regarding the involvement of accused Jatin Talreja, who was earlier imprisoned in a theft case. On which the team members traced and caught the accused Jatin Talreja.
During interrogation, accused Jatin Talreja accepted to have committed the above incidents of theft along with his other partner who is a juvenile in conflict with the law. On which the team members traced and caught the juvenile in conflict with the law involved in the case. Accused Jatin Talreja has earlier also been imprisoned in the case of committing robbery by firing from arms under the jurisdiction of Telibandha police station. Both of them were arrested and 73 bundles of different mm stolen electronic cables/wires and two-wheeler used in the incident worth about Rs. 5,00,000/- were seized from their possession and action was taken against them.
