Theft in college campus, 3 accused arrested with iron pipe

The police took prompt action and solved the theft of iron scaffolding pipes in the OP Jindal Community College campus under Punjipathra area within 24 hours. The police team led by TI Rakesh Mishra arrested the three accused involved in the case and recovered 20 stolen iron scaffolding pipes, total weight about 700 kg (worth ₹ 24,000) and the accused have been sent on remand. raigarh

Reporter Minketan Sahu gave a written application to the Punjipathra police station on October 10, 2024 and told that out of 150 iron scaffolding pipes kept in the college campus for training the trainees in OP Jindal Community College Punjipathra campus, 20 pipes have been stolen. This theft incident took place at dawn in the morning. On receiving information about the incident, Police Station Incharge Punjipathra, Inspector Rakesh Mishra and his team visited the spot. The police seized the motorcycle and mobile left by the thieves in a hurry at the scene of the incident. After questioning the witnesses and quick investigation, the police detained three suspects from village Tibhaudih – Pradeep Kumar Agariya, Lalit Agariya and Lakshmi Agariya, who, on strict interrogation regarding the theft, confessed to the theft and told that they had hidden the stolen pipe in a rain drain pit near Varun Dhaba.

On the basis of the memorandum of the accused, the police seized a total of 20 pieces of iron scaffolding pipes. The accused have been sent on judicial remand. Police station in-charge inspector Rakesh Mishra, ASI Jairam Sidar, head constable Amit Tirkey, Vijay Ekka, Ram Prasad Yadav and other staff played an important role in this success. Due to this quick action of the police, 100% recovery of the stolen goods was possible.

  2. Laxmi Agariya (age 20 years), village Tibhaudih, police station Punjipathra, district Raigarh.
  3. Pradeep Kumar Agariya (age 18 years), resident of Kodtarai, police station Bhupdevpur, district Raigarh.
