The women of Bihar are transforming from skilled homemakers to successful entrepreneurs.

Mahasamund. A new initiative is emerging in the district towards women’s empowerment. Under the Mission 150 innovation, guided by the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat, Hemant Ramesh Nandanwar, women associated with the Bihan group are now establishing themselves not only as skilled homemakers but also as self-reliant and successful entrepreneurs.

The second phase of this innovative initiative was successfully completed on January 23, 2026. It is noteworthy that this innovation was launched on January 2, 2026. In each phase of the scheme, six shops/enterprises are being launched by the women of the Bihan group in each development block of the district. So far, 70 shops and enterprises have been established in the district, including diverse businesses such as dhabas (roadside eateries), fancy stores, grocery stores, fashion zones, highway tea stalls, hotels, and poultry farms. This initiative is empowering women economically and providing them with self-confidence and social respect through self-employment.

The upcoming phases of the Mission 150 innovation aim to establish women in the district as entrepreneurs in production, service, and various other sectors. Today, the women of Mahasamund district are moving forward with a new mindset, new energy, and self-reliance, becoming an inspiration for society.
