The thief had entered the house by breaking the roof, caught by the police along with the jewellery
Raipur/Janjgir. Birra police has arrested the accused of theft in the house. Vinod Kashyap Sakin Siladwehi Police Station Birra District Janjgir Champa lodged a report on 05.04.24 in Birra Police Station that on 03.04.24 he had locked the house and went to a wedding along with his family before the wedding ceremony on 05.04.24 at around 11: When I came back home at 00 o’clock in the day, I opened the gate and saw that an unknown thief had broken the cement lamp on the roof of the house and entered inside the house and taken away the gold, silver, rings, lockets kept in the cupboard of the house. On the report that earrings and cash worth Rs 90,000 were stolen by an unknown thief, crime number 60/24 under section 457, 380 has been registered in Birra police station and taken up for investigation.
In view of the seriousness of the matter, the instructions given by Superintendent of Police Vivek Shukla (I.P.S.) and the efficient guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Rajendra Jaiswal (I.P.S.) and Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) Champa Yadumani Sidar Champa. In the immediate surrounding areas, the address of the unknown thief and the stolen goods was searched and the old challan of the accused was interrogated. In the same sequence, it was found that the accused Javadas Vaishnav of village Birra had committed theft in the past also. A challan has been issued in the case, the address of the accused Javadas Vaishna was searched and the accused was taken into custody and strictly interrogated and a memorandum statement was taken from whose possession a gold ring, ear locket, ear ring and necklace were stolen. The sutra has been seized and the iron crowbar used in the incident has been seized. Accused Javadas Vaishnav has accepted the theft.
During the investigation, evidence of crime under section 114 was found against the accused Javadas Vaishnav and he was duly arrested and sent to judicial remand.
