The TET exam passing score has been reduced to 40% – Government order issued.

Tamil Nadu: A government order has been issued reducing the passing score for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) by 5 percent. In the TET conducted by the Teachers Selection Board, candidates were required to score 60 percent for the General category and 55 percent for the BC, BC-Muslim, MBC, SC, and ST categories out of a total of 150 marks to pass the exam.

According to the government order, the passing marks for Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Denotified Communities (DNCs), which were 55 percent, have been reduced to 50 percent.

The passing marks for the SC and ST categories have been reduced from 45 percent to 40 percent. It has also been announced that the passing marks for the General category will remain at 60 percent.

Meanwhile, the annual schedule released by the Teachers Selection Board (TSB) states that two Teacher Eligibility Tests (TETs) will be conducted in Tamil Nadu this year, which will be very helpful for those aspiring to join the teaching profession to plan and prepare in advance.
