Ingredients for making Banarasi Kachori – Vegetable
Maida – 2 cups
Urad Dal – 1/2 cup
Fry paneer – 1/2 cup
Boiled potatoes – 2-3
Cooked chickpeas – 1/2 cup
Tomato paste – 1
Chopped Onion – 1
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Methi Kasuri – 1 tsp
Cumin – 1/
small spoon
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
oil as required
salt to taste
Banarasi Kachori – Vegetable Recipe
To make Banarasi Kachori, first soak urad dal for some time and then grind it. After this, add ground pulses, refined flour in a bowl and mix. Add one spoon oil, salt as per taste and all the spices and knead it well. Now keep the dough aside for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, put oil in a pan and heat it. Now put cumin seeds in the pan and add spices.
After some time add garam masala, red chili powder, coriander powder, chopped onion and tomato puree to the pan and cook while stirring. When the puree is cooked well and starts boiling, add boiled potatoes, fried paneer and paneer soaked in water overnight and then add cooked chickpeas, mix well with the help of a ladle and leave to cook. Now add water to the vegetable as per requirement and add salt as per taste, cover and boil for 10 minutes.
