The person who stole jewelry worth 3.5 lakhs from a jewelry shop has been arrested, solved within 6 hours

Bilaspur. The police have solved two separate theft cases in just 6 hours and arrested the accused youth. The police have recovered stolen goods worth more than Rs 3,50,000 from the possession of the accused, which includes gold and silver jewellery and cash. This action has been taken by a joint team of Sarkanda police station and ACCU police.

According to the information, on August 8, 2025, Ritesh Gupta, the operator of Geeta Jewelers located on Khamtarai Road, lodged a report that he had closed the shop at 9:40 pm on August 7 and went home. In the morning, the landlord called and told that the lock of the shop was broken. On reaching the spot, he found that gold and silver jewellery and Rs 3,000 cash had been stolen. Similarly, Keshav Prasad Sahu, the operator of Om Medical, lodged a complaint that he had closed the shop at 9:30 pm on August 7 and went home. When they reached at 7:30 am, they found the lock of the shop broken and Rs 2,700 cash missing from the counter.

The police team identified the suspect on the basis of CCTV footage and raided Swarnim Era Colony. Vishu Lahare alias Dholu was arrested from there. During interrogation, the accused confessed to both the thefts and the stolen goods were recovered from his possession.
