The person who raped a schoolgirl got life imprisonment

Kawardha. A 4-year-old girl was raped in February 2023 in the private Gurukul Public School in Maharajpur village of Kawardha district. In this case, after 15 months, on Tuesday, the Additional Special Sessions Court has sentenced the main accused Mukesh Yadav to life imprisonment. At the same time, three employees including the Vice Principal have been acquitted. City Kotwali police had arrested school bus conductor Mukesh Yadav (25), resident of Chachedi. Political organizations had protested and demanded an FIR against the school manager. School vice principal Sonali Patra resident of Durg, class teacher Anjana Kanoje (42) of Kawardha and Jagdish Sankhla (49) were made guilty on charges of negligence in the safety of the girl. On behalf of the victim, Additional Public Prosecutor P.N. Shivopasak argued. After 15 months of debate, on Tuesday, the special judge in Kabirdham District Additional Special Sessions Court sentenced Mukesh Yadav, the main accused in the incident, to life imprisonment. The rest have been acquitted.

The court said in its comment that… Abhivyakti Mukesh Yadav, being the bus conductor of the girl, has committed sexual exploitation of the girl in the school premises. Parents of a child send their young children to school with full confidence. They make the child sit in the school bus so that the driver and conductor can take the child safely to school and bring him back home. If the conductor commits a heinous act like sexual exploitation of a four year old girl, then how will the children of the society be safe. The crime committed by Abhivyakti Mukesh against the innocent girl shows his distorted mentality. The entire city was in anger over this matter. There were demands for hanging the accused and strict action against the school manager. NSUI, AVBP had protested in front of the school and surrounded the SP office demanding cancellation of the license of the school.
