The officer’s birthday celebration reached the High Court, and the Chief Secretary was summoned.

Bilaspur. A division bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice BD Guru of the Chhattisgarh High Court expressed displeasure over the ongoing stunts, hooliganism, and birthday celebrations on the roads and national highways. The bench stated that wealthy and influential individuals are openly disregarding traffic rules. The state government’s guidelines remain confined to paper. Consequently, the High Court ordered the Chief Secretary to submit a personal affidavit.

The court also stated that the ongoing incidents indicate that these guidelines are not being implemented on the ground. The court warned that if the state government does not take strict action, necessary instructions will be issued. The next hearing in the case will be held on December 4th. Despite the High Court’s strictness, the police remain indifferent to the unruly elements, such as stunts and birthday celebrations on the national highways. Just a few days ago, a young man was performing stunts while sitting on the bonnet of a car on River View Road in Bilaspur.

In the video, he shouts that he has authority in the area and no one can touch him. After the video went viral on social media, police began searching for the young man and filed a case against him. Deputy Advocate General Shashank Thakur informed the court that an FIR has been registered and the vehicle has been seized.
