The NSF initiated a key meeting with the Home Ministry’s advisor on the Naga-Kuki conflict.

New Delhi: A delegation of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on Thursday met Ajit Lal, Advisor (North East) to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and urged the Centre to expedite the ongoing Naga peace process.
During the meeting, the delegation briefed Lal, a former Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau, on the prevailing situation of violence and unrest in the region, particularly the Naga-Kuki conflict. The NSF stressed the urgent need for the immediate restoration of peace and normalcy.
The delegation also appealed to the MHA advisor to carry forward the ongoing peace talks with sincerity and steer them towards an early and logical conclusion while remaining sensitive to the aspirations and concerns of the Naga people.
According to the NSF, the meeting reaffirmed the collective demand for a political resolution to the decades-old Naga issue.
Lal patiently heard the delegation’s concerns and assured them that the matter would be looked into, the federation said.
