The people around informed the police about this. On this, the police team took the dead body in its custody and sent it for postmortem. The matter is being investigated by interrogating the people around.

Sirgitti TI Vijay Chaudhary said that he had gone towards the pond located near Nayapara water tank. During this time, people saw that the dogs were tearing the dead body of the newborn wrapped in a cloth. People chased the dogs away from there. After this, the police was immediately informed about the incident. On this, the team reached the spot. The police sent the dead body of the newborn to the mortuary and got it postmortem done. Information about the newborn is being gathered by interrogating the people around.

The TI said that earlier there was a suspicion of it being a human fetus. Doctors said that the newborn was fully developed and the delivery was done on time. On this basis, the whole matter is being investigated.
