The minister inaugurated the renovation work done at a cost of Rs 3 crore at the Vadapalani Adhimula Perumal temple

Tamil Nadu : Minister P.K. Sekharbabu inaugurated the renovation work being carried out at the Vadapalani Adimoolap Perumal Temple in Chennai at a cost of Rs 3.37 crore.
The Vadapalani Adimoolap Perumal Temple in Chennai, one of the 100-year-old temples in Tamil Nadu, was renovated in 1960. Steps have been taken to renovate and restore the temple again. There is Rs 1.84 crore in the Commissioner’s Public Welfare Fund and Rs 1.53 crore in the Vadapalani Andavar Temple Fund, totalling Rs 3.37 crore. Construction of stone mandapam in front of the Moolavar temple and the mother temple, construction of entrance gates on all three sides of the temple, a decorative hall, a vehicle hall and a yagnashala will be constructed.
These works were inaugurated by Hindu Religious and Endowments Minister Shekhar Babu on Wednesday.
At Kalikambal Temple… Later, Minister Sekharbabu inaugurated a new silver chariot made of 292 kg 600 gm silver at a cost of Rs. 3.45 crore at the Parimunai Kalikambal Temple. During this, volunteers who helped in the renovation with the new silver, temple trustees and sivacharis who were fully dedicated to these works were felicitated by dressing them in gold attire.
Hindu Religious Endowments Commissioner P.N. Sritha, Joint Commissioners R. Vanmathi, J. Mullai, Deputy Commissioner (Verification) R. Hariharan, Temple Trustee Committee Chairman E.M.S. Mohan and others participated in these programs.
