The matter is of Khudana village. The groom, a resident of this place, refused to take 51 lakh rupees of dowry and got married with just one rupee and a coconut. Seeing this example of the groom, the whole area is appreciating it.

According to the wedding party, last night, Abhay Pratap, son of Anil Pundir, grandson of Mahavir Singh Pundir, a resident of Khudana village of the area, had reached Karnal in Haryana with the wedding procession. Where his marriage with Gaura Rana daughter Ashok Rana was solemnized with great pomp. In the marriage, 51 lakh rupees were given by the bride’s side in the tika, which the groom Abhay Pratap and his family returned to the bride’s side very politely, calling dowry a social evil. Also, he set a unique example in front of the society by taking only coconut and one rupee in dowry.

The groom Abhay Pratap does real estate business after passing MBA in Real Estate. Former DCDF Chairman Krishna Kumar Pundir, Rajput Sabha President Dr. Vikram Singh Pundir, former President Rambhool Singh, Netrapal Singh Chauhan, Rakesh Pundir and Amit Pundir, along with other local residents, who attended the wedding ceremony, have praised his move.
