Gariaband. The court has sentenced the accused Madhav God to life imprisonment for committing a gruesome murder in Chhura police station of the district. Let us tell you that the animals of accused Madhav were damaging the crops grown in the yard of deceased Karan Kunjam. Due to which he advised to tie the animals. Angered by this, the accused attacked Karan with a sword and severed Karan’s head from his body and took the head towards the forest. The Additional District and Sessions Court, while hearing the murder case of Chhura police station, has sentenced the accused to life imprisonment. While giving the verdict, Judge Tajeshwari Devi Dewangan has sentenced the accused Madho Ram alias Madhav God, aged 36 years, to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2,000. According to the information received, applicant Bhagwani Ram Kunjam had lodged a report at Chhura police station that he was in his house on July 12, 2021 at around 4 pm.
At the same time, the accused Madhav God, who lives in the neighbourhood, entered the house of his father Karan Kunjam with a sword in his hand, saying that he will kill me today and was attacking the father with a sharp sword. When he tried to intervene, the accused threatened to kill him too. Due to which he got scared and came out of the house and told about the incident to his wife, son and the people of the village. After some time, the accused Madhav God went towards the forest with his father’s severed head and his legs. When the son went inside the house, his father Karan’s body was lying in the courtyard without a head and there was blood spread around. It was told in the case that the domesticated animals of the accused used to damage the vegetable crops growing in the yard of the deceased. Due to which deceased Karan Kunjam used to ask accused Madhav to keep the animals tied. The accused got angry on this matter and killed Karan Kunjam by slitting his throat with a tangiya. Khura police registered a crime against the accused and during investigation seized the head and legs of the deceased from the accused. A crime was registered against the accused under sections 302, 506B, 449 IPC. While hearing this case, Additional District and Sessions Judge Tajeshwari Devi Dewangan has sentenced him to life imprisonment and fined him.
