The family did not agree to the marriage, the loving couple gave their lives by consuming insecticide

Raigarh. The dead body of a lover couple has been found in the forest in Farkanara village of Kharsia assembly constituency of the district. Both ended their lives by consuming insecticide. The young men and women were students of BSC final year. Police has sent the dead bodies of both for postmortem. The case pertains to Jobi Chowki area under Kharsia police station.

According to the information, Chandrashekhar Rathia (22 years), a resident of Domnara village of Farkanara, was having a love affair with Jamuna Rathia (22 years), a resident of Farkanara, for a few years. Both wanted to get married. The loving couple, who were dreaming of marriage, had also told about their affair to the family members. On this, the family members of the young man went to Jamuna’s house to talk about the relationship between the two, but the family members of the young woman avoided them saying that they would talk later. After which both the lovers became very disappointed. He felt that the family members were not happy with their relationship.

After this, at 3 am on Wednesday, the young men and women came out of their house on the pretext of making an excuse. He went to the nearby forest and ended his life by consuming insecticide. The next day the young men and women did not return home, so they started looking for them. Meanwhile, Ganga Kumar Rathiya, the brother of the deceased had gone towards the forest to defecate with his friends, where he saw the dead bodies of sister Jamuna and youth Chandrashekhar. After this, the brother of the deceased informed the villagers and the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and took stock of the incident. After this, the bodies of both were sent for postmortem. The family members are being questioned in the matter.
