Ghaziabad: On Monday night in Kaushambi police station area of Ghaziabad, miscreants opened fire on a young man near EDM Mall. The young man was seriously injured in the attack. He was admitted to the hospital. The police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. In the initial investigation, the matter is being said to be of personal rivalry. According to the information received from the police, the injured youth Ankit has a shop at Dabar intersection of Kaushambi police station area of Ghaziabad. He closed his shop on Monday night and was going towards his home from EDM Mall. On the way, he got into an altercation with the bullies gathered near EDM Mall. On this they attacked Ankit with bullets. According to Ankit’s uncle Praveen, this incident was carried out by the bullies due to rivalry in the municipal elections. He had complained about this to the police earlier also. ACP Poonam Mishra said that Ankit was injured due to bullet injury. A case has been registered and the matter is being investigated.
