The body of a villager who had been helping the security forces was found in a CRPF camp.

Bijapur. A shocking incident has once again come to light from the Naxal-affected Bijapur district. The body of a villager was found hanging from a tree under suspicious circumstances at the Wattevagu CRPF camp in the Tarrem police station area. The deceased has been identified as 48-year-old Madvi Bhima, a resident of Rekhapalli. Bhima had been cooperating with security forces in their anti-Naxal operations for several months. On December 5th, he played a crucial role in helping the security forces recover IEDs and explosive materials hidden in the forests.
According to the information received, on December 5th, security forces conducted a large search operation in the forests of Rekhapalli, Dhamaram, Kondapalli, and the Chintavagu riverbank. Local villagers assisted in this operation, and Madvi Bhima was very active. With his help, the security forces recovered IEDs, bomb-making materials, and other Maoist equipment hidden in several locations. Afterward, on December 6th, the security forces returned to the camp, and Bhima also returned with them. It is reported that after having dinner, Madvi Bhima went for a walk towards the field outside the camp. Some time later, when the soldiers searched the area, his body was found hanging from a tree with a towel. The soldiers immediately brought him down and took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The incident has created a tense situation in the area. Initially, it is suspected that Bhima was under mental stress due to threats of retaliation from the Naxals, and that he committed suicide out of fear. The assistance provided by Bhima to the security forces had proven decisive against the Naxals on several occasions. This is why the Maoists had been keeping an eye on him in recent months. Villagers believe that pressure from the Naxals may be the reason for his death. However, the deceased’s family has flatly denied that it was a suicide. The family alleges that Bhima was murdered and that the entire incident is suspicious. They have demanded a high-level investigation into the matter. Family members say that Bhima could never have committed suicide, and that there is a deeper conspiracy behind his death.

The police have started an investigation into the matter and are awaiting the post-mortem report, which will reveal the exact cause of death. After the incident, CRPF, district police, and local administration officials reached the camp and inspected the site. Bijapur police have said that the investigation will be conducted from all angles and the allegations made by the family members will also be seriously investigated. This case of the mysterious death of a villager in a Naxal-affected area raises many questions. On one hand, the role of villagers who cooperate with the security forces is crucial, while on the other hand, the fear of retaliation from the Naxalites makes their lives insecure. The death of Madvi Bhima has become a matter of concern not only for his family but for the entire region. Currently, the police investigation is underway, and further action will be decided based on the post-mortem report.
