The girl’s father had lodged a missing report of the girl in Jute Mill Police Station on 09 June. The girl’s family had suspected Chunnu Bareth of Malkharoda, who had come to visit their locality, of luring and kidnapping the girl. Crime No. 268/2024 Section 363 IPC has been registered against the suspect in Jute Mill Police Station and investigation has been taken up.

Police Station Incharge Jute Mill Inspector Mohan Bhardwaj got the details of the girl and the suspect, both their mobiles were switched off. On 28 June, when the police station incharge received information about both of them being in Secunderabad, after obtaining permission from the Superintendent of Police, a police team was formed and sent to Telangana to trace the girl and the suspect. The Jute Mill police took the girl and suspect Chunnu Bareth into custody in Peth Basheerabad area of ​​Secunderabad and brought them to Peth Basheerabad police station.

On the basis of the girl’s statement and medical report, Sections 366, 376 IPS 4, 6 POCSO Act were extended in the case and the accused Chandrabhushan alias Chunnu Bareth, father Santosh Kumar Karsh, age 22 years, resident of village Bade Sipat, police station Malkharoud, district Sakti was arrested and sent on remand.
