Tamil Nadu: Political activity has intensified in Tamil Nadu for the upcoming local body elections. Meanwhile, the state’s Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Minister, Shrinath, has claimed that the Thaveka alliance will win a landslide victory in the local body elections. He stated that the alliance will receive public support in the local elections, similar to its success in the Assembly elections.

Minister Shrinath made this statement at an event held in Arumuganeri Payyanvilai on Saturday. The event was chaired by businessman and salt producer Sriram Vigneswaran. A large number of political activists and supporters were present.

During the event, more than 4,000 members of the Alternative Party joined the Thaveka alliance. These activists were inducted into the party in the presence of Minister Shrinath. This major political development is considered significant in the preparations for the upcoming local body elections.

Addressing the activists, Minister Shrinath said that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has given priority to the welfare of the people and has directed that all basic amenities be provided. He stated that the government is rapidly advancing development projects, addressing the needs of the people, and that urgent issues will be resolved soon.

He stated that the government’s primary objective is to provide better services to the general public. Continuous efforts are being made to strengthen infrastructure, from rural to urban areas. He also urged party workers to reach out to the people, understand their problems, and work to find solutions.

Referring to the large crowd at the event, Minister Srinath said that this public support demonstrates the strength of the alliance. He expressed confidence that candidates from Thaveka and its allies will win a large number of victories in the upcoming local body elections.

The Minister stated that the same trust that people showed in the alliance during the Assembly elections will be reflected in the local body elections as well. He stated that the alliance is continuously working to meet the public’s expectations.

Several senior party officials and party workers were present on the occasion. Several leaders, including Thoothukudi South District Secretary Bright, North District Secretary Samuel, South District Treasurer Seeman Sivakumar, District Technical Team Organizer Bols Mabthalal, City Secretary Nivas Kannan, and City Activist Vineet Joseph, participated in the event.

Chennai industrialists Vinayagamoorthy, Ramesh Krishnan, Madan Krishnan, and other prominent figures were also present. The leaders discussed party policies and upcoming election strategies with party workers.

According to political analysts, various parties have intensified their efforts to strengthen their organizations and add new members ahead of the local body elections. The addition of a large number of new workers is considered a significant boost to any political party’s organizational strength.

The Thaveka alliance is also preparing to intensify its public outreach campaign at the local level. Party leaders say they will prioritize public issues and make development their primary agenda.

At the same time, opposition parties are also preparing their strategies for the local body elections. In Tamil Nadu politics, local elections are considered a crucial opportunity to test the strength of grassroots organizations.

Currently, the Thaveka alliance appears buoyed by the addition of over 4,000 new members. Minister Srinath claims this support signals victory for the alliance in the upcoming elections. However, the election results will determine which party and alliance the public places their trust in.
