Hyderabad: Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed deep grief over the death of bus conductor Pravalika. He said he had hoped that Pravalika would recover and return to work soon.

The minister assured that the government would extend support to Pravalika’s family and said that the RTC would stand by them during this difficult time. He also said strict action would be taken against those responsible for the incident.

A 24-year-old TGSRTC conductor, Gundla Pravalika, died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Pravalika, who worked at the Manuguru depot in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, suffered severe injuries to both legs after a woman passenger allegedly pushed her off a moving bus following an argument over change on Sunday.

The incident took place on a Palle Velugu bus operated by the Manuguru depot while it was travelling from Manuguru to Bhadrachalam.

She was initially shifted for treatment and later moved to Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Hyderabad for better medical care. However, she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.
