Tender issued for ‘Thayamman Gold Ring’ scheme in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has taken a big step towards implementing the ambitious ‘Thaimaman Gold Ring’ scheme to honor newborn children and their mothers. The state government has released the official contract notice for the purchase of gold rings under this scheme. A total of 4,41,667 gold rings will be purchased under the scheme. Each ring will weigh one gram.
According to the government, approximately Rs 755.83 crore will be spent on this entire project. The objective of the scheme is to honor the birth of a child and the joy of motherhood. Under this, gold rings will be provided to newborn babies and their mothers by the government. The scheme is part of the social welfare schemes of the state government, which aims to promote respect and encouragement towards motherhood and newborns.
Tamil Nadu government has started the tender process for purchasing the rings. According to the notice issued, interested companies and contractors can submit applications for the tender from July 14 to August 17. The application process will be completed through online medium. The government has also prescribed application fees for interested contractors. To participate in the tender, Rs 5,725 will have to be paid.

Process accelerated after government order
