Telangana: Woman accuses Bihar man of drugging and raping her

Hyderabad: A woman approached the Banjara Hills police on Thursday alleging that a man raped her after drugging her. According to the police, the 32-year-old married woman, who is a construction labourer from Bihar, had recently come to the city in search of work and was working at various construction sites in the city. She alleged that the suspect, Rajendra, also a construction labourer from Bihar, took her to various places on the pretext of shopping and took her to a hotel room where he made her drink milk laced with sedatives. When she fell unconscious, he raped her. Moreover, he also recorded the act and threatened the victim to keep quiet or else he would make the incident public. Based on the woman’s complaint, the Banjara Hills police have registered a case of rape and criminal intimidation and IT Act and efforts are on to nab the suspect.
