Telangana: Will explore additional revenue resources to implement 6G
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who also holds the finance portfolio, on Thursday made it clear that the government will explore all other revenue resources without burdening the people to implement the six guarantees.
Vikramark started the exercise of preparing the budget by organizing department-wise meetings in the secretariat. He held the first meeting with agriculture officials. Department-wise meetings will continue till January 27.
Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Special Chief Secretary (Finance) K Ramakrishna Rao and other officials attended Thursday’s meetings. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is to create wealth and distribute the fruits of wealth among the people.
Vikramarka directed the revenue officials to focus on the lands whose lease period has expired.
Blaming the BRS government for launching the Dharani portal, Bhatti said farmers were facing many problems due to the portal. He also directed officials to submit details of land reclaimed by the government in the last 10 years.
Officials told the Deputy CM that the BRS government has allocated funds for the construction of only 1.5 lakh houses. He said that out of the total two lakh 2BHK houses proposed in Greater Hyderabad, only 67,000 houses have been completed so far. He told that work is going on on the remaining houses.
Vikramarka asked the officials to prepare a plan for the construction of Indiramma houses to be allotted to the eligible beneficiaries.
Telangana will study Odisha model
Meanwhile, the state government will send a team of officials, including directors of treasury and accounts, to Odisha and Rajasthan to study the implementation of SNA-SPARSH (Just in Time Fund Release) through e-Kuber. The team will interact with all key stakeholders and gain valuable information about the planning, implementation and outcomes of the SNA-Sparsh Just in Time scheme.
SNA-SPARSH is a major cash management initiative for Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) which has been introduced as an alternative fund flow mechanism to CSS funds. It will be integrated with the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) of the state government and e-Kuber platform of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This will ensure free flow of funds from the Center to the states for centrally sponsored schemes.
