Telangana: Wife kills husband due to constant physical abuse

Hyderabad: A man was hacked to death with an axe in Tirumalapur in Banswara mandal of Nizamabad. He was accused of attacking his wife and father. Police said the victim has been identified as Ramulu. He would often return home drunk and physically assault the accused, his wife Manjula and his father Narayana. Frustrated with the constant abuse, the accused planned to eliminate him. On June 9, he killed Ramulu with an axe and dumped his body in a septic tank. He then dug a pit near his house and buried him there. In an attempt to hide the traces of the murder, the accused filed a missing person report. However, neighbours got suspicious and informed the police about a pit near the accused’s house. Acting on this information, the police reached the spot and recovered the victim’s body on Sunday morning, June 23. During interrogation of the accused, the wife confessed to the crime. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
