Telangana: New portal soon for beneficiaries of government schemes

Hyderabad: To ensure transparency in the implementation of government schemes, the State government is planning to launch a new portal to display details of various government schemes, application status and its beneficiaries. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed officials to appoint an officers committee to frame guidelines to review the information to be shared on the website, without compromising the personal safety of people and maintaining confidentiality as per the law.
The Chief Minister, who reviewed the status of Prajavani applications at the State Secretariat on Monday, directed officials to adopt a transparent and efficient process to resolve Prajavani petitions quickly. He said they should create a dashboard of Prajavani applications and provide them live access to the applications submitted by people and the resolutions given by officials. “The Prajavani programme being organised at district headquarters should be linked with the Prajavani dashboard organised at Praja Bhavan. Issues should be resolved on the spot at mandal, division and district levels,” he said. Prajavani was organised 117 times, in which people registered 54,619 petitions. Of these, 68.4 percent (37,384) petitions have been disposed of.
