Telangana: Heavy rain in Kamareddy, Medak and Nirmal

Hyderabad: Heavy rains continued to lash Kamareddy, Nirmal and Medak districts, leading to heavy flooding in all the three districts. By the time the rains subsided, areas like Rajampet in Kamareddy had already recorded 440.5 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours, raising the flood waters. According to rainfall data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TSDPS), Kamareddy town received heavy rainfall of 334.3 mm.
Nirmal received 328.8 mm, while several areas in Medak, including Havelighanpur, received extremely heavy rainfall of 328.3 mm. Several other areas in Nirmal, Kamareddy and Medak districts recorded rainfall ranging from 211 mm to a maximum of 440.5 mm at Argonda, Rajampet in Kamareddy district. Other districts in Telangana also recorded heavy rain ranging from 150 mm to 200 mm.
