Telangana Health Minister urges to increase primary health centers
Hyderabad: State Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Tuesday ordered the health department to strengthen the infrastructure and medical care services in all primary health centers (APS) in Telangana. The health minister, during a review meeting that covered the functioning of several government health departments, including the public health care initiative of the National Health Mission (NHM), on Tuesday said the state government is committed and is giving priority to reforms. The health sector in Telangana is massive. Interacting with senior health officials, Damodar Rajanarasimha said that the state government will give maximum priority to maternal and child medical care services. “More care should be provided in public hospitals than in the private health sector. In the coming days, it will be necessary to leverage T-Diagnostics and utilize its existing infrastructure to conduct more Covid testing in Telangana. “Special attention should be given to the management of seasonal diseases,” he said. This also led to a detailed debate between the Health Minister and senior health officials of the National Health Mission on the real situation of regional diseases, Covid infection, Tuberculosis, ENT, Dengue, Malaria etc.
