Telangana: Drunkard father killed his father when he asked him to give up his addiction

Nagarkurnool: A man killed his father with an axe in Gattunelikuduru village under Telakapalli mandal of the district after he asked him to give up alcohol and other addictions. The incident took place on Saturday morning when Sultan, 50, was sleeping at home. His son Mallesh reached home in an inebriated condition and attacked Sultan, a farmer, with an axe, killing him.

The locals immediately informed the police, who reached the spot and took Mallesh into custody. The body was taken to the Government General Hospital in the district for post-mortem. Locals said that despite Sultan asking Mallesh to give up alcohol and other addictions, he did not listen. As per reports, Mallesh killed Sultan after getting annoyed with his father repeatedly asking him to mend his behaviour.
