Telangana: A youth, upset over not being selected in the Indian Army, commits suicide

Mancherial: A 25-year-old youth committed suicide on Monday in Luxettipet after being frustrated over not getting selected for a job in the Indian Army. Luxettipet Sub-Inspector P. Satish said that Gadaveni Tirupati of Ramnagar in the town committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan after locking his room from inside on Sunday night. Tirupati was a centering worker.

His brother had already been selected in the Indian Army. Inspired by his brother, he wanted to become a soldier. He took the physical efficiency test twice but could not clear it. He was irritable and took his life even though his parents had advised him not to worry about the job. Tirupati’s father Komaraiya lodged a complaint with the police. A case has been registered.
