Teenager and youth arrested for stealing cash from vacant house

Raigarh: Janki Bai Patel, wife of Shivlal Patel, age 40 years, resident of village Chaple in Kharsia Police Station, informed Kharsia Inspector Kumar Gaurav Sahu about the theft in her vacant house. The reporter told that she had gone to a relative’s house for a visit between 25/06/24 and 27/06/24, yesterday when she returned home, she saw that some unknown thief had broken the lock of the door of the house and entered inside and broke the cupboard of the house and stole the coins and notes kept in the piggy bank, totaling ₹7,800. On the report of the applicant, a crime was registered against the unknown person under Section 457, 380 IPC. chhattisgarh

Immediately, the Kharsia police team took the suspect youth and his minor companion into custody and questioned them. Both the suspects accepted the theft from the house of Mrs. Janaki Patel.

Accused Munnu alias Moonu Maratha father Pitambar age 20 years resident of Ramnagar Chaple and a juvenile struggling child’s memorandum, ₹7,800 (coins and notes of ₹2100) from the stolen piggy bank has been recovered and seized. Kharsia police took prompt action on the theft incident and arrested the accused within a few hours and recovered 100% of the stolen goods and sent the accused on remand to the competent court.
