TB patients with symptoms should be tested 100 percent: Brajesh Pathak

Lucknow (IANS) | UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that the Central and Uttar Pradesh governments are concerned about your health. All kinds of health related schemes are being implemented. Resources are being increased in government hospitals. Doctors are being posted in backward districts. So that all kinds of diseases can be easily dealt with. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of eliminating TB by 2025. We are all trying to combat it. From time to time, campaigns are being run for the identification and treatment of TB patients. Public participation is needed to end TB.

Deputy Chief Minister on Thursday, Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak took stock of Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Center of Raipur Dussehri located in Kakori. Inspected special campaign for 21 working days for strengthening of TB related services. Took information from the officers about the strategy related to treatment, investigation and identification of patients.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that public participation is needed to eliminate TB on time. Patients with symptoms of TB should be examined in every street and locality. Free treatment should be provided after confirmation of TB. Information of patients should be entered on the portal. At present, there are about five lakh 23 thousand TB patients in UP. Symptoms of TB are found in about 8,000 pregnant women. From April 1, 2018, every month Rs 500 is being sent to the registered TB patient’s bank account. So far this amount has been sent to the bank accounts of 16 lakh 18 thousand TB patients. A total of four crore 20 lakh has been paid. Its purpose is to provide nutrition along with treatment to the patients. To eliminate TB bacteria, it is very important to provide proper nutrition to the patients.

Officers and public representatives should adopt TB patients. Help provide essential medicines to TB patients. Provide nutritional material. So that the patient can defeat TB soon. The Deputy CM said that adopting TB patients does not mean lifting them. Rather help the patient in getting better treatment and nutrition. The facility of TB test, treatment etc. is free in government hospitals.
